Scrap Canes
The most beautiful cane slices usually come from "scrap" canes. The key to making pretty scrap canes is to not mix the clay. Just push the bits and pieces into a cane shape. When using the "twist and curl" method (below), work the cane as little as possible.
Reconditioning Cane: push and roll on a hard surface, then squish down ends.
